This lamp reproduces Mont Blanc and the Tête Rousse and Goûter huts, in the Mont Blanc massif, from IGN LiDAR HD topographic data. Every ridge, every combe, every valley sits exactly where it belongs: this is not scenery inspired by the mountain — it is the mountain itself, to scale. The lamp is about 15 cm in diameter. The base is pear wood, hand-turned by L'Atelier du Mont, a woodturner in Le Chinaillon. The relief is printed in corn-starch bioplastic (PLA), a plant-based material that diffuses light with a particular softness: lit up, the rock becomes translucent. Backlit by a 5 V LED, the brightness is adjustable, from a dimmed night light to a bedside lamp. It runs on USB — mains adapter included. A one-of-a-kind piece. Each lamp carries its own serial number, engraved on its label. Made in our workshop in Thônes, Haute-Savoie.
