We ship within 2–3 business days. Colissimo delivery then takes 3–5 business days. Colissimo fees (home delivery or pickup point) depend on the weight of your parcel; pickup at our Thônes workshop is free.
Yes, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, in original condition. Return shipping is at your expense. Contact us to start a return.
We currently ship to France and Belgium. For other destinations, contact us at contact@lesideesdelaforet.com.
For our laser-cut and engraved creations (maps, pots, utensils), we mainly use 3 mm Baltic birch and poplar plywood, sourced from sustainably managed forests (PEFC). Some creations use walnut or cherry offcuts for special editions. Our mountain lamps are different: their base is pear wood, hand-turned by L'Atelier du Mont, a woodturner in Le Chinaillon, and their relief is printed in corn-starch bioplastic (PLA), a plant-based material that diffuses light.
Yes! Most of our creations can be personalized (first name, date, short text). Add your request in the order notes or contact us for a custom quote.
Wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid prolonged humidity and direct sunlight. To revive the wooden parts, apply a thin coat of linseed oil — never on the PLA relief of a mountain lamp, which just needs dry dusting. The lamps are for indoor use only, with a CE-certified 5 V USB adapter; they are not toys.
Each mountain lamp is backlit by a 5 V LED with adjustable brightness: from a soft night light to a bedside lamp. It is USB-powered, and the mains adapter is included. When lit, the bioplastic relief becomes translucent and reveals the ridges and valleys.
Yes. Each lamp is made to order in our Thônes workshop and carries its own serial number, engraved on its label. The relief reproduces the real topography of the chosen summit (official data: IGN LiDAR HD in France, swisstopo's swissALTI3D in Switzerland). The lamp is about 15 cm in diameter and weighs 400 g.

Changes are possible within 12 hours of placing your order. Contact us quickly at contact@lesideesdelaforet.com. Once production has started, changes are no longer possible.
