Corsica traverse, north: Calenzana → Vizzavona in relief: a 27 × 18 cm map carved from a solid block of lime wood after the real terrain (Corsica · France). The route, 90 km and 8,000 m of elevation gain, 7 to 9 days, is laser-engraved onto the milled wood, pass after pass. Each map is milled on request in our workshop in Haute-Savoie: roughing with a flat end mill, a finishing pass that follows every ridge, then the laser for the route. It comes in an A4 frame; the relief rises more than 3 cm out of it.
